Alfred Dunhill to show at LFW

The British Fashion Council (BFC) today announced that the iconic British brand Alfred Dunhill will show at London Fashion Week in February. The Alfred Dunhill brand, which illustrates a strong commitment to British menswear and defining male luxury, has revealed plans to open the doors of its exclusive Mayfair home to showcase its AW11 collection ‘HOME’. The intimate salon style presentation, showcased against the backdrop of the 18th century freestanding mansion, will be the last show of the day on Tuesday 22nd February 2011 as a prelude to London Fashion Week’s Menswear Day.

Menswear day, now in its fourth season, encompasses a diverse mix of designers, spanning emerging through to established, and incorporates various formats from traditional catwalk shows to digital presentations and innovative installations. A panel of key opinion formers from retail and media, including Style.com’s Tim Blanks, GQ’s Dylan Jones and Lulu Kennedy of Fashion East, advise on the designer selection each season.

Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, said, “British menswear has a reputation for innovation on a global platform. Dunhill is an aspirational British luxury brand and we are delighted that they will join a showcase of Savile Row tailors and directional emerging British designers to show the breadth of menswear talent at London Fashion Week.”

London Fashion Week will run from Friday 18th – Wednesday 23rd February 2011 and will be located at Somerset House, Strand WC2.
